Medusa Pro Version 1.02 Released

We've just released version 1.02 of Medusa Pro featuring some additions inspired by user comments. The main addition is shape noise, an additional property for rocks that adds a random deflection to the underlying shape. Medusa creates random models on an underlying shape allowing you to tailor models to you needs. Shape noise allows you better control on how closely Medusa models conform to the underlying shape, small values produce just some extra randomization, large values will produce some very interesting random shapes (excellent for things like rocks on an alien world. 18th April, 2014

Volcanic Rock Pack 1

We've just released our first DLC for Medusa Pro: Volcanic Rocks Pack 1. The rock pack adds new rock templates to the rock library, new rock types and new materials. This pack features rock types associated with volcanoes, in particular lavas. Each template can produce a huge variety of models, and of course, like all templates they can be changed in the Rock Properties menu and customized and edited. The model produced by this pack are ideal not just for volcanoes, but anywhere that volcanic rocks occur... for example... most desert islands are actually volcanic, and in many deserts you'll find lava flows at the top of mesas. If you want to make the surface of an alien world, well there will be lavas there too. Here's a couple of images to show what we mean:

  A glassy pahoehoe lava flow.
